Earth Calling Angela.  A curious name, and one that still lingers in the air not unlike a wisp of dry ice.  To some it will be new, to others it will evoke distant memories - good, bad, a bit of both, but definitely distant.  During the 8 years or so that they originally existed, maybe a few hundred people came to see them play live.  A proportion of those bought copies of the cassettes.  Another large number would have used one of their flyers for roach material, or airborne projectiles...

Those who did see them live, or heard the demos, will all have had an opinion about them - good, bad, a bit of both - but an opinion nonetheless. And over the the years they haven't been forgotten, in fact, conversely, the more time has past the more the ECA reputation has grown outside their old Midlands stomping ground.

This web site has been put together (following a little prompting from a few people - you know who you are) to serve as a kind of commemorative facility to Earth Calling Angela.  There are audio downloads (of tracks that would otherwise be difficult to find), photos, bare-cheeked sentimental reminiscences, and in-time there'll also be the chance for everybody to share their memories not only of ECA, but of the excellent early- to mid-1990's UK Goth Scene in general.
